FIRST CAPITAL BANK HOLDS DONATION CAMPAIGN IN HONOUR OF MOZAMBICAN WOMEN’S DAY

As part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and support for local communities, First Capital Bank organised, in April, an internal staff campaign to raise women related donations as a celebration of the Mozambican Women’s Day.

The main aim of this initiative was to offer support to women in need in the regions of the country where the bank has its branches, since the campaign was based on donations not only from the institution, but also from the bank’s employees.

During the campaign, First Capital Bank employees showed a strong spirit of solidarity and generosity, contributing non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, clothes and other essential items, which were distributed to women in need supported by the institution “Plataforma Makobo” in Maputo, the Corrane Centre in Nampula and NAFES in Beira.

‘We are extremely proud of our employees for their involvement and generosity during this donation campaign,’ said João Rodrigues, CEO of First Capital Bank. ‘We firmly believe in the power of solidarity and the importance of supporting those who need it most, especially during significant moments such as Mozambican Women’s Day. We hope that these donations can make a real difference to the lives of the women who will receive them.’

First Capital Bank reiterates its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and support for local communities in Mozambique, through initiatives such as this that seek to create a positive and lasting impact on society, promoting well-being and equal opportunities for all.
